
UAE’s Vision for AI, Space, and Digital Transformation Lauded as Leaders Discuss Collaborative Solutions for a Sustainable Future
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, recently met with Elon Musk, CEO of X, SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink, to discuss technological partnerships that could drive global progress. The meeting also included His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE.
Held at Sheikh Hamdan’s majlis in Nad Al Sheba, the discussion focused on the rapid technological transformations shaping the world and explored ways to leverage innovative solutions to advance comprehensive development for humanity, while supporting a sustainable development vision to overcome diverse global challenges.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted Dubai and the UAE’s commitment to fostering innovation through advanced legislative frameworks, strategic global partnerships, and sustained investment in human capital. “This approach empowers the thriving technology community across the UAE and contributes to building a more sustainable and prosperous future for all residents,” he stated.
Elon Musk praised the UAE’s forward-looking vision, noting the country’s significant strides in technology, artificial intelligence, and space exploration. “I sincerely wish the UAE, its leadership, and its generous people continued progress and prosperity,” Musk said.
The meeting emphasized the UAE and Dubai’s emergence as leading global technology and innovation hubs, highlighting their ability to harness cutting-edge advancements and foster long-term partnerships with top international technology companies. Discussions also addressed the country’s advanced digital infrastructure and reviewed key aspects of its ambitious strategy to advance AI and future technologies, aiming to enhance quality of life, boost economic competitiveness, and set global benchmarks.
The gathering was attended by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, as well as Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
